PENRO-PDI joins the Dinagat Islands Coastal Clean-Up 2016

One of the common problems that pollutes our environment is the ocean/waterway trash. This threatens our health, wildlife and communities. In order to minimize/help get rid of this problem, press17 2016a Dinagat Islands Coastal Clean-Up 2016 was held last August 06, 2016 headed by Coast Guard Sub-Station San Jose bearing the theme: “Pulutin mo, Linisin mo, Lahat maki-alam para sa Karagatan”.

  PENRO-PDI joined the said activity. Aside from PENRO-PDI the DSWD, POPCOM, PPA, PNP, BFP, LGU-San Jose, MDRRMC, Tau Gamma Fraternity, criminology students of Don Jose College and other private schools had joined the coastal clean-up. It was conducted in the different coastal areas of the Municipality of San Jose, Province of Dinagat Islands. Prior to the conduct, Forester Virginia Ubilas conducted the briefing of coordinators for the conduct of the coastal clean-up held at the PPA Building, Poblacon 1, San Jose, Dinagat Islands.

 The said event was participated by 516 participants and there were 153 sacks collected and reported comprising biodegradable and non-biodegradable garbages.
